purushottam 8th August 2007, 11:40 AM Reds are also opposing N-deal. Thanks good sense prevailed on them. BJP has frankly said that there should be an open debate in Parliament. It is right .The nation is entitled to know about the merits and demerits of the N deal.
People have lost faith in Reds as they don't act as they speak. They may be opposing the N-deal but ultimately they will support Congress as the ultimate object of Reds is to keep the BJP away from power. Presently they are successful also .
Let BJP learn a lesson that there is no in fight and complete unity in the party and no leader should speak any thing against any leader in public. They should not wash liens in public.Take advantage of Delhi brand Malhotra's episode and make the party integrated .Look to the ensuing legislative election and be united.

To day [16th Aug.2007]things were more clear. The prime minister had on last time said that India shall have unconditional right for testing and America shall not object. But on next day American Ambassador refuted the statement and said that any act of test without America's permission shell vitiate the deal and America shall take all material supplied under the deal.Is India America sub servant? Are we slaves? We had been slaves of Islamic invedors ,British rule and after independence of dynasty's rule for last 60 years. How long shall we remain slaves ?
The present govt should be voted out and fresh elections should be conducted on this issue it self. The Reds adopt double standard and we doubt that they will in reality oppose the deal. Hope they should.

frens,
plz think of it,123 agreement is not at all good for our country,if we said ok for this agreement we have to obey for the rules of America..
and most important thing is,if we have any disputes regarding to this agreement we have to fight legally in the courts of USA...is it good for us??
don't get excited to the statements of our politicians, in this aspect v should give our support to left parties.although they are not true communists, some what they have few characteristics of communists..
plz frens, plz think of it,don't give any blind support to the govt regarding this 123 agreement

purushottam 3rd July 2008, 06:52 PM :rolleyes:Mayavati has always-original absurd ideas. Till now Metadata had no ideal about what N-deal is. When she saw that the Congress is likely to be ousted she ,all of a sudden saw a communal colour in the deal and started saying that it is against Muslims. Hope the Muslims will be led away by such statements to make her Prime Minister. She already impresses the general class persons. Then to whom should we look for the common sense and the security of the nation? What is the standard of public and in particular persons from reserve class and minority groups. Are Indians animals of sacrifice?? It was Mulayam Sing who was not even invited to the dinner when UPA came in power and even then he attended the party. Now he has volunteered for support Congress. Therefore I do say that after independence the reins of the nation had gone in incompetent and criminal persons. It is we handed the reins. Persons. Standard of the nation?
purushottam 9th July 2008, 10:45 AM
N-DEAL
After the announcement by Prime Minister that the government will go ahead with the deal Comrades have declared to withdraw the support. They were supporting the UPA govt. from out side. The reason for support was to keep the non-secular forces [BJP] away from power. For last 4 years they continued to support and also kept their psalmody of withdrawal .It appears that now they have no fear from non-secular forces and now the N-Deal that is irritating them. Who don’t love political power and who don’t want it? The Samajvadi and Congress parties were sword enemies a day before and now they became friends. This is not because Smajvadi Party has to do any thing with N-Deal but it is only because it is concerned to secure better position in Parliamentary elections. Therefore it is supporting Congress in the Center. Why Samajvadi Party from the very beginning of the talks on N- deal did not come with a clear stand that it will support the Congress on this issue though Comrades from the very beginning are against it. Again the Samajvadi Party was in search of an issue to enter in the rehabilitation camp for shelter after receiving a solid and violent knock down from Mayavati in U.P.general elections. Mulayam Singh had been in habit of pulling a long bow. Now he has forgotten his arrogance and contemptuousness. He had lost his and his party’s ground in that election. He is searching a new field for getting face saving seats in the next ensuing Parliamentary elections. He knows that if there is a pact between his and the Congress party his dream may come to reality.
These shameless politicians are now using the name of Dr.Abdul Kalam to save their faces. What Amar Singh says is more ridiculous. He says that few party men had a talk with him for more than an hour and Kalam could convince how the deal is useful, he also says that the PMO house and the IB swung with Mulayam. . What a nice excuse by Socialists! But for last 4 years Comrades could not be convinced. Indian Socialists have the inherent character of changing loyalties and always behave like chameleon. Will these opportunists make clear how long they will support UPA in the parliament? Will such support continue till the new elections are held or it is a compromise for N-Deal only?
No body gave importance to the statement of L.K.Advani. He was very clear in his views. He had said that his party is not against N-Deal. He suggested that the agreement should be redrafted so as to make it clear that the sovereignty of India is not impaired by the inspection of the Indian nuclear arms and ammunition. His suggestion was that the Hyde Act should not come in way and India should be free to have test of N-Bombs at any time the nation likes. His one more version was that the papers should be tabled in the Parliament so that the nation is entitled to know what the deal is. His suggestions were conveniently overlooked.
What nonsense in secular India. The Congress and Socialists are arguing that the deal is not against Muslims and Muslim ideology. Thus the criteria of national security will have to be decided on the ideology of Muslims.
It is frequently and repeatedly said that we want electric energy and by entering into the Treaty India may generate such energy. Will government explain the cost of such energy and the cost per unit to be paid by the consumer and whether it will be comparatively cheaper or not?
The way in which things are going on there appears to be some unfair game which may hit the sovereignty of India. The alert citizens should have vigilance over all such affairs.

Publicising IAEA text will be 'nuclear terrorism': Congress 1 Comments
New Delhi, July 9 (IANS) The Congress Wednesday insisted that the text of the India-specific safeguards pact with IAEA was a privileged document and placing it in public domain could lead to 'nuclear terrorism'.New Delhi, July 9 (IANS) The Congress Wednesday insisted that the text of the India-specific safeguards pact with IAEA was a privileged document and placing it in public domain could lead to 'nuclear terrorism'. 'Article 15 of the text clearly talks about confidential clauses. Putting the information about nuclear facility in public domain pertains to nuclear terrorism,' Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said here. Tiwari's comments came after Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) general secretary Prakash Karat attacked the government for keeping the text of the agreement a secret. 'It is a legal document contractually binding and how can a sovereign government divulge the details to people who are not in the government?' asked Tiwari. Reiterating that the India-US nuclear deal was important to meet the growing power demands, Tiwari said: 'By 2050 we would be the most populous country and out energy demands will grow exponentially. 'We will have a deficit of 5,000-6,000 MW energy per year, and 26 percent of it will come from nuclear energy,' he said.
Let us assume that what the Congress is true. We want to know what is Nuclear Terrorism and in what reference the words are used. We also want to know what is India's position about the test of nuclear weapons. What is the role of America in this respect and how Hyde Act is insignificant in this respect?
purushottam 11th July 2008, 02:58 PM :rolleyes:The UPA got has published some text of the deal. It will seek vote of confidence after two days debate in Parliament on 21st and 22nd July. the inflation rate is about 12 percent and if elections ate held it will go above 16percent also and more than 200ocrorers rupees will be spent on elections. It is not in the interest. BJP does not say it will contest elections and will get majority on its own. Even if BJP is able to prove as largest single party even then it cannot rule for whole period. Look to Karnataka. There the BJP has certainly formed govt but is short of few seats and the independents are playing power game. Thus again after a year or two India will have to face elections. Be sure of it. Let the UPA govt complete its term.
So far as the deal is concerned it is the time for BJP to support UPA. Govt by boycotting the confidence vote so that elections can be avoided. It is also not sure that the Bush govt. will be able to process the deal as in America the elections shall be conducted in November and new President shall take oath on 20th January 2009. Till then there is no fate of the deal. . If BJP allies come to power it may review the deal. According their logic and philosophy.
The role of Communists seems to be doubtful. They did not and could not hang the Govt on inflation that was probably more important issue. Practical thinking may help BJP.
purushottam 12th July 2008, 01:43 PM :rolleyes:Wish that wisdom might prevail on BJP to see that the UPA govt. is not toppled down on 22nd instant. In fact if BJP wants to come in to power it should not make heist. It is hardly few months left for elections and let the present govt. rule the nation. Assure the government that it will not allow it to fall .If it is done few MPs may not take undue advantage for saying the govt. N-Deal is the product of BJP and otherwise it is not bad except the doubts raised about Hyde Act and the right to test N-Bombs should be with India which has amply been made clear by the PM. If BJP gives oxygen to UPA public will certainly support BJP also. The main point is that Obama has also supported the deal and Bush is trying to get it done. If BJP comes to power it may review the Treaty. Again it
is to be remembered that the inflation has just touched 12 percent and if elections are announced about 2500crores of rupees will have to be spent on it and it will help to grow the inflation rate. Let Women Reservation Bill should get importance from BJP so that it will help it to be more powerful that N-Bombs!

Manmohansingh apolozise for having signed an dangerous agreement with
australiaţ

TO The RESPECTED EDITORS. please publish this article.
The simple ,efficient and honest DR.Manmohansingh has apologized
before a delhi court for having signed an Dangerous agreement with
australia.manmohans ingh was the finance minister in the Narashimha
rao's ministry. While on a visit to australia he singed an agreement
with Australia. according to the agreement Indian peasants will grow
soya beans to feed the white pigs of australia and send the same to
that country. Then the excreta of the pigs will be shipped backed to
india to be disposed off in the indian waters. Initially the poor
peasants thought the offer is lucrative and started growing soya
beans. this went on three years and then the threat posed by the
continuous cultivation of soybeans dawned on the peasants. if soya
beans is cultivated for a period of five years continuously the land
will become useless for ever for any other cultivation agitations
were started and ONE NGO took this matter to the court. In the court
it was established that the fear of land getting spoiled was proved
and Our great man mohansingh was summoned to the court and there he
tendered uncontional apology and the soybeans agreement with
Australia was abandoned. the indian farmers and their land was thus
saved.India is basically a agricultural country. more than 80% of the
population depends on agriculture. our highly educated and economist
signed an agreement without weighing the pros and cons of the
agreement. If manmohansingh is dealing with a white skinned man he
becomes jittery and i think he still feels indians are still slaves.
Already the IMF has curtailed our economical freedom through the
loans it offered through the World bank. WE fought the British for
their plunder and got our freedom and unfortunately thousands of
foreign companies are plundering our wealth . most of the indigenous
industries are gone.
on the one hand inflation is threatening and on the other hand price
rise is alarming despite the fact we are governed by allegedly
eminent economists.
It shall be prudent that before signing the NUke deal with the
States all the pros and cons should be thoroughly analyzed and a good
decision should be taken. We saw the agreement was posted on the web
despite our rulers claim that the agreement is secret. It is obvious
that no one is following the developments seriously. Just because
Mr. singh claims that he is honest etc.,the government should sign
the deal. The government should tell the people whether the energy
which is proposed to be available will address the needs of the
dharitra nrayanans (poor indians )of this country will be benefitted
by way of undisturbed and cheap power, food etc.We should safe guard
our countries freedom at any cost.jebamani mohanraj. general

purushottam 16th July 2008, 01:55 PM :rolleyes:What a strange thing of Indian democracy! The Congress ruled UPA government is not ready and willing to have discussions on N-Deal in the Parliament. All parties are continuously demanding such debate as the independence of the nation and its security is at stake as is claimed these parties. A prudent man will also agree to it. But why UPA is hesitating to discuss the issue on the floor of the Parliament. . On the contrary it is going to table a confidence motion to get through. The government is more worried about its existence rather than informing the nation about the deal. It is giving advertisements in newspapers and there by obliging the media but it did not ever think that the Parliament is entitled to know first about the deal. Is it fair? Merely by obtaining vote of confidence it cannot be said that the people have voted in favour of N-Deal:rolleyes:
purushottam 17th July 2008, 12:09 PM
‘Rahul Gandhi says if govt.falls, so be it’! He is right he can speak like this as he is not filius terrae that is son of soil meaning their by an ordinary person but a prince, a son of dynasty. Should the ruling party think on the lines of Rahul? It is the Constitutional duty of the ruling party to save the government from being voted out. Can Congress deny the allegation that like Narsimha Rao govt it is also busy in horse-trading? The media and the DD news gave undue importance to his statement. The flatterers in Congress claims that he has all qualities of a Prime Minister [impliedly all others are most incompetent] Look to his immature statement that he is not worried to save the govt. and bear if govt. falls. The futile exercise is for entering in the N-Deal Treaty with America and if govt fails to survive how it is possible to do this. His approach to this serious problem is not worth appreciation.
purushottam 18th July 2008, 01:58 PM :rolleyes:Where are those Congresses who claim that they are the followers of Mahatma Gandhi. Have not they reduced him to the rank of show case goods and brand ambassador of Congress?
To defend the Congress from outvoting of the power what not they are doing. One politician says that Congress is purchasing parliamentarians for 25 crores and the other says the rate is 30 crorers each. The wonderful part is this allegation is neither rebutted by any politicians and does not wish to repudiate it also. The matter was pending for last 4 years but now all of a sudden it is decided that the airport at Lucknow will be named after Chodhari Charan Sing. . It was Congress who voted out his government and now it is meeking before his son Ajit Singh for favour who has another list of demands and says that he is not satisfied with the naming the air port in his father’s name. Shibu Soren having 5 members is demanding that he and his one party member be made union minister and he should be given the department of Coal. With an eye over Muslim vote in this motion of confidence and for ensuring future vote bank the government has taken several decisions including reimbursement of educational fees and other several facilities. The industrialists are meeting the Congress leaders .The simple reason should be through their purse money might be distributed. Oh Congresses! Mahatma Gandhi had said that not only the aim but also the means should be fair and honest. Do Congresses remember this quotation? Where is the so-called Prime Minister in waiting Rahul Gandhi who claims him self to be up right is keeping silence.
In Andhra Pradesh Sonia, encashing the name of farmers says the N-Deal is essential for the electric power energy and there fore this deal is in the interest of the farmers. Very nice what a unique idea! Is there any infrastructure created for generation of nuclear energy? Is there any cabinet decision and budgetary provision for the same? Why it is not made public as to what cost people will have to pay per unit? Will it be cheaper than the conventional system? Look to Dabhol project that became fiasco, as the charges are very high. The reality is that the agriculturists will get free electricity as is presently done and heavy charges will have to be paid by the middle class persons. The initial estimative cost for power generation would be about 15,000 crorer rupees. Will India afford such cost?
Those who do not oppose the deal but the mode of execution are not hitting below the belt and just arguing round about the subject. All politicians as a class are great cheaters of the nation. We are ashamed of such leaders. We are also ashamed of ourselves that we are just selfish and our blood does not boil. We just talk of probity in life but do not act upon it. What we do is road justice and lynching activities
Sonia says she does not require any certificate for her Rashtra Bhhakti. Remember no body wants to give the same to her. Her existence is because the Congresses have no unity to accept any stalwart as leader and hence they depend on the dynast and these people like to be reined by such person. Therefore her existence is because of differences in congress leadership. Secondly the way adopted by the Congress and supported by her and Rahul also disqualifies her to have such certificate.
purushottam 22nd July 2008, 08:54 PM :rolleyes:N-Deal: - Every thing unfortunate. Merely winning by UPA in Lok Sabha by 275 votes does not mean that UPA did not purchased members. It was not important whether deal was to be executed or not what was important was money. Is this democracy? I condemn such type of activities. It is slur on the nation and a tarnished image of the present govt. In the noon I had written on other site as under:-This was written at about 11 am. to day that is on22nd July 2008.
BJP had rightly pointed out that the UPA should make it clear that Hyde Act should not come in Way of the freedom of India and that for testing N-Bombs no permission should be required from America, Congress did not do so. Hyde Act is not made applicable to China. BJP and Communist failed in diplomacy and the result will be seen in the evening when the resolution moved by the government will be duly passed. This is failure of Communists and BJP's diplomacy.
·
purushottam 23rd July 2008, 08:03 PM :rolleyes:The fate of N-Deal ended in corruption and imagine why there is haste in entering in the deal. Here are my views on the corruption and the in action by Communists and BJP.
Man Mohan Singh has proved that he is not exception to present Indian politics. Till yesterday people had misconception that he will create history by proving his probity in life but he did it otherwise by showing the jet-black day for Indian democracy. July 22nd 2208 will be remembered as such. History will not excuse.
The media calls the absentees and the people who cross voted as Vibhishans but it is not so. The aim of Vibhishan was a to end the atrocities of Ravan and therefore he relinquished his relations and broke the family ties with him and joined the hands of Lord Ram. But here all these persons without breaking their ties with respective parties shook hands with UPA. How can they be Vibhishans. In fact they are Dogala persons that is crooked and cheaters. Though horse-trading is proverbial phrase but in fact it was an act of purchasing Bakaras from Bakara Mandi for the purpose of sacrificing them to remain in power. Therefore these members were not Vibhishans but Bakars of this Kali Yug.
The BJP and Comrades absolutely failed in their strategy, knowing the fact that hardly 9 months have left for elections even then they compailed the UPA to take such stapes to move motion of confidence in the Parliament. This was their political failure. When BJP came to know well in advance that its whip will be crucified by its party members the better course was to abstain from voting. Before voting what happened in the Parliament is known to all. Why the party showed feigning attitude and voted there in the Parliament. Had party abstained from voting it could have saved its face too? The NDA never took the public in confidence by holding meetings at different places by making the public aware of the pros and cons of the N-Deal. As against this the UPA was quite successful in doing so.
The media and the legal experts said that the bribe money should not have brought in the Parliament, as it was breach of privilege. But remember that it was a part of proof of allegations maid by the party and challenge given by Man Mohan Singh. Therefore nothing wrong was done by Argal the Member of Parliament. The allegation of bribing the members was prima facie proved and there requires no strict proof for that as the things speak for them self.
The main issue of rise in prices and inflation was left behind like Gattu of Sas Bahu and Beti serial.
People like me had by different letters through news papers and blogs had reminded about the fact which we were anticipating but the over wise ness and over confidence bought this day to be seen by public which was expecting much better from BJP.
The Muslim candidates who spoke in the Parliament were very vehemently spoke against BJP for the so called non secular attitude of it but at the same time praised Man Mohan Singh for providing special package of funds and privileges to them. Thus to be non-secular for Muslims is secularism in India was an accepted theory by Congress and UPA. A Punjabi member bluntly spoke and supported Man Mohan Singh being Sikh and asked all Punjabi members to vote in his favour. Thus this time the secular face of India was also exposed in the Parliament
Our nation has in fact not remained a democracy [if at all it was] and has converted it to kakistocracy. The meaning of the word is rule by the least able or least principled of citizens or least qualified to govern are the people who control government- the most corrupt people. This word was used for Bush administration in America and I am using it for his counter part in Indian administration.
--------------------------------------------------2--------------------------------------------------------
UPA govt and more particularly Congress could win confidence motion by thumping majority. Though the image of UPA is tarnished but tarnishing image is most secondary matter in India. It is money that matters and it did play the role as demonstrated in the Lok Sabha, However the Congress or Samajvadi parties cannot be blamed. If the members become commodity in the commodity market the customer is ready to purchase them, as the main aim is to remain in power. Since independence we should day and night that Congress purchases parliamentarians of opposite parties. What wrong has gone to the members of the oppose parties that they are being purchased. They have no moral and hungry for money and power. Shame. The confidence motion that could go through does show that the reality is this

Dear Sir
First some simple arithmetic. FP says (July 23) that the Congress won the trust vote because it got 275 votes in its favour and 256 against – though that makes for only 531 votes, not the full 543. An impressive win, indeed, of 19 votes that is enough to fool the mindless herds of goats and sheep that constitute the vast majority of electorate in this queer land. But if one has a little bent for primary school arithmetic, one can see that actually the Congress has lost by 15 votes!
At least 12 MPs are reported to have indulged in cross-voting. That means 263 votes for the Congress and 268 votes against. As even this first arithmetic shows, the Congress lost by 5 votes. But this is not the whole of the arithmetic. 10 NDA MPs abstained from voting. This means 263 votes for the Congress and 278 against! Which means that actually the Congress has lost by 15 votes! This much for those few Indians who can tell the wheat from the chaff. But the real issue goes far deeper.
Why, oh why on earth, did 12 MPs defy their party lines and another 10 abstain? What makes the Indians the most corrupt and the least developed – in effect a big replica of Bangla Desh – among the comity of nations? Although innumerable reasons could be adduced. one would suffice. It is that they are abnormally selfish – unable to see or feel anything beyond the limit of their skin. If we combine the two traits – viz. mindlessness and selfishness – we have the answer to the above puzzle.
Our politicians are the quintessence of the ordinary Indians. When total mindlessness blends with equally total selfishness, one gets the Indian politicians, who see only money & more money -- and nothing else -- as the summum bonum of life. Nothing else counts, nothing else matters. One becomes a mere saleable commodity in the open market. Whoever bids the highest price may buy him. This makes him the most venal human being in the world.
That no Congressman cross-voted is no surprise because
who can bid as high as the Congress? For being a party of colonialists the Congress has nothing to lose even if it bids the entire country! (It has already done so to the Muslims and the terrorists.) They have their money well stashed in the Swiss banks, and have charter planes on call to take them to safety should the poor Indians rise against them. The only surprise is that only 22 MPs could be bought over – whereas the entire herd of the MPs is equally venal. This can mean just one thing, that those parties who could keep their remaining herds from crossing over must have had to pay a very hefty price.
This also shows that the Congressmen are past masters in the art of Machiavellianism, who can teach it even to its originator, Niccolo Machiavelli, the Italian statesman. The poor BJPists appear as mere kindergarteners before the Congressmen. The whole scenario is so disgusting as to be sickening. Still the Indian electorate can be counted upon to vote the same ruling jamboree to power because it is so insensitive that it cannot feel the pinch of inflation, terrorism, Naxalism, lack of electricity & water, the looting of their meagre earnings by the politicians and businessmen and industrialists – even the list is so long as to tire one. Only a miracle could save this land from destroying itself.
Yours sincerely

purushottam 25th July 2008, 12:16 PM :rolleyes:N-Deal another approach
Hello My dear Brothers and Sisters, Good Morning and a Great New Day full of laughter, joy and peace to you all, I know unemployment is a big problem everywhere ...
But in hell too??
Coz' that's why the devil had nothing better to do than to disrupt me
from sending out another nice issue of my newsletter yesterday... .
A great issue passed out on Monday and I was hoping to get an
uninterrupted conclusion to the week …
But I guess spoken or thought too soon …
Net suddenly conked off around 5:30 pm yesterday and then
there was the Hide and seek with electricity ..
now its there and now its not …
One would think that would be sufficient cause for angst …
But wait .. it gets better …
Today, Wednesday started off without the customary power cut
In the morning portending good tidings for the day ….
Aah!! Enthusiasm and optimism can be so misplaced at times …
Come 11 am (What's with the elevens anyway??? )
and the power Said Bye bye … see you not until ….
Hold your breaths …..
4:45 pm … almost a 6 hour cut …
And with no prior warning whatsoever ….
Now what is a person to do in such a situation …???
Every country .. every nation on this earth needs power
To work
To progress
To seek its uplift ment …
And that cannot happen with power cuts for half of a working day ..
The xerox machine operators, the printers, the juice walas, the grinders,
the garage mechanics, ... I mean, the whole of the working class
that depends on daily business for its livelihood and even medium
scale busimesses ....
More than half a working day in fact …
My conspiratorial antennaes are already buzzing ….
Is this how the N-Deal is sought to be brought in??
Let the people suffer power cuts so that they'll acknowledge our
precarious situation and accede to the demand for going ahead
With the deal .. Yup ... Lets sway the popular opinion this way ….
The disgusting spectacle of MPs selling themselves for Rs. 25 crores
each (to switch party allegiance) or Rs. 3 crores (to abstain) each
just shows the total degeneration of the polity.
This is only the tip of the proverbial rotten iceberg.
After the open bidding (What happened to all that currency being flashed?)
for winning the vote of confidence … Indians have also been exposed to
and in the process got accustomed to seeing and tolerating even greater
fall in political standards
Its appalling … Really ...
As if what happened wasn't shameful enough, the absence of righteous
anger at the whole wheeling dealing happening in parliament under our
very noses … no .. in front of our very eyes ..
and all we do is shake our heads ....
no longer in disbelief and anger as much as in resignation ....
Are we still a nation built on principles of Dharma or merely another
peanut republic which we should own up and start realizing and saying
that we are only a peanut republic with the trappings of a plethora of laws
which are mere scraps of paper as someone mentioned in a previous post
And you know what ??
WE DESERVE IT ….
Yes … We do …
Coz' we put up with it ...
I mean, what's to stop us from questioning these very representatives
when they come to us asking for votes …
or even when they get elected ??
Agreed they have money power and utilize it to gain muscle power …
Through which they muzzle their way to even greater power and thus
Feel free to do whatsoever they wish …
And they succeed in this coz' we, the average man is kept divided
on lines of caste (reservations anyone??), regionalism (aka Raj
Thanckeray and co.) and the obvious favourite
The Hindu Muslim divide when every thing else fails ...
Currently, attention is sought to be diverted by making contradictory claims
about the whole Ram Setu controversy ...
Does anyone remember the story about a Father teaching his
warring sons a lesson on unity using a single stick and a bundle …??
Why can't we as citizens of this country and nation unite to take on the
Combined might of these same politicians …
and show them Whose boss
Why can't we form a nexus amongst ourselves and use the
collective Leverage to squeeze out of these power brokers
what anyway rightfully Belongs To us …
Coz' its wrong ??
and then we would be like them ??
Fine, then answer me this .....
Isn't keeping quiet and remaining immobilized in the face of
a wrong also wrong??
Especially when you can do something about it ...
Lets not give up at least until we are tired ... if not till broken ...
The end may not justify the means and the journey may be the path
But, does that mean we let them walk all over us ??
Don't we have a right to peacful journey??

The Reality of the Nuclear Deal
By Suresh M. Parmar
I call FP the best newspaper in India – and perhaps in the whole world – in a relative sense. Except such great personalities as Lord Krishna nobody or nothing in human history so far can be called absolutely good or absolutely bad. I could point out a thousand things in FP that would rebut my own judgement of FP as the best newspaper. But I deliberately overlook them. Why? Simply because its three positive sides far outweigh its thousand foibles. Even these three positive sides can be subsumed under a single head, viz. SCIENTIFICNESS. Its editorials, some of its writers and some of its letter-writers – not to mention its scrupulous adherence to truth in the reporting of news – are a delight to read to anyone who is scientific.
Anyone who has studied science – such as physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy – and mathematics knows how these subjects believe in first gathering stark facts by doing or observing actual experiments (i.e. experience), then logically reasoning upon them and coming to certain conclusions, and lastly testing them by further experiments (i.e. experience). This process is repeated endlessly – till we arrive at the truth that can stand the test of actual experience. All this constitutes scientificness.
But what even the scientists – including the greatest
intellectual among them, Bertrand Russel – do not realise is the simple, obvious and fundamental fact that science does not arise by itself. For science to arise there must be scientists first -- such human beings as are born with a passionate & unending desire for seeking the truth. If there were no such human beings around in the first place, there would be no science in our midst.
I have to mention all this because in this age – and perhaps in every age – almost everyone has his vested interests, almost everyone has his axe to grind, almost everyone is interested in only one thing – money – and in nothing else – neither in science, religion, philosophy, morality, nor in values, the development of man & society or human evolution. No, the sad truth is that everything is subservient to that prime mover – money. Everything, every faculty & talent of a person is just another means to make more money. And there the human life ends. This is true of almost all individuals but in the case of the Indian politicians, it is their raison d’etre. In such a crass and valueless environment how can scientificness arise or exist? Incidentally, this is the real reason why fewer and fewer people are choosing science & mathematics as their field of study. If one can keep this fundamental fact in mind, he will be able to understand the following.
There are powerful reasons to believe that the editor of FP does not oversee or check the publication of many items. Take the news write-up by Mayank Chhaya on page 2 of FP of July 25. In his write-up Chhaya eulogizes Manmohan Singh as ‘India’s most battle-tested politician’, who despite being ‘a staid bureaucrat’ has emerged ‘as a short-term politician with a long-term vision,’ for whom ‘the nuclear deal was his personal passion’, who had an ‘unshakable conviction about the righteousness of his cause.’ The point that Chhaya wants to drive home is that Manmohan Singh is a selfless bureaucrat-turned-politician, who has sought to strike a deal whose benefits the posterity will enjoy, not he himself. Selflessness, my foot!
There is the record of the past four years for anyone to examine – that is, if he has eyes – to check whether he has done anything good for India or the Indians – leaving aside all claim for selflessness, which is a tall order even for a sannyasi. Here I just want to mention just two simple & obvious facts. First, as the Congress won the trust vote, there was boundless euphoria in the corporate worlds of the USA and India, who unabashedly declared with one voice that the deal will boost the economy of India. (The so-called rally in the Sensex is the result of this euphoria.) Then there is the report that the deal will benefit 400 companies of the USA and India. If you combine these two facts with the raison d’etre of the Indian politicians, the compelling desire to strike the deal becomes as palpable as a palm fruit on one’s palm.
Thousands and lakhs of rupees have long since ceased to have any meaning in today’s world. Crores and arabs of rupees must have been paid to the Indian politicians – the Congressmen, to be precise -- whose knowledge of the world is limited only to the colour of the currency notes -- to strike the deal so that those 400 companies can cultivate their farms of money. The 64 crore rupees of Bofors case is such a paltry amount in today’s world that even an ordinary MLA makes it in his lifetime. The nuclear deal is today’s magnified version of the yesterday’s Bofors case.
All the media men exist as mouthpieces of this or that vested interest group. If you open the strings of your purse, these all-too-willing media men can be bought by the cartful and paraded as advocating this and decrying that. I doubt if any Indian politician knows what an atom is, much less nuclear energy, nuclear fission or nuclear fusion. Such ignorant politicians lead a nation that does not know how to make such primary things as buildings, roads and electricity, cannot make potable water available to its citizens.
If the Indian politicians had any concern for the good of India and the Indians, before anything else they would ensure the six basic constituents of true governance – the external defence of the country, the internal safety & security of their countrymen, an administration that delivers, population control, education and unleashing the development potential inherent in every individual. A hundred other things are required for the true development and happiness of man, but they all come after these six basic requirements of good governance have been met.
Even a stone-blind person will agree that none of these six
primary requirements has ever existed in India. On the contrary, there has been a free fall of all human values. Today’s Indians are not even aware of their rich ancient cultural & other heritage. Such being the ground reality, can anyone adduce any proof, any evidence to show that the Indian rulers had any concern for the good of India and the Indians? On top of that we are educated by media men like Mayank Chhaya that in striking the nuclear deal Manmohan Singh has acted selflessly for the future good of India and the Indians! What a joke, what a mockery of the Indians’ intelligence! Are we not ashamed to allow such insults to our intelligence?
But, yes, the Indians can be made to buy such unbelievable stuff, such rubbish. An electorate that can elect Mayawati, Mulayam, Lalu, Karunanidhi, Jaylalitha to power; an electorate that does not feel ashamed in electing criminals of every hue & colour as MPs & MLAs; a country whose law & honourable judiciary allow criminals to contest elections: a country whose law & honourable judiciary allow a candidate to contest from two or more constituencies at the same time (no one in any other country will have even heard of such a preposterous thing); a country in which three entire states can elect Leftists to power; an electorate that can send the same party or combine to power at every election no matter what its performance or non-performance or misperformance – in such a country everything is possible. In such a country rank selfishness can be paraded as pure selflessness, and there will be buyers of such nonsense, both among the so-called educated and uneducated, by the billion – for the simple reason that in such a land education differs little from noneducation!

purushottam 27th July 2008, 07:59 AM collection A letter from my e mail friend.
AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE THE CUMMINST'S LOT ARE NOT OPPOSING EVERY DEVELOPEMENTAL PROJECTS IN INDIA OR OTHER STATES RULED BY THEM. THE ONLY THING THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THE ENERGY NEEDS OF INDIA CAN'T BE DEPENDENT ONLY ON THERMAL/ HYDEL / WIND OR OTHER UNCONVENTIONAL SOURCES OF ENERGY. THAT THE INDIA NEEDS ADDITIONAL SUPPORTIVE SOURCES LIKE NUCLEAR ENERGY SOURCE WHICH RUSSIA OR AUSTRALIA ALONE CAN NOT FULFILL. NOR WE HAVE OUR OWN TECHNOLOGICAL & NUCLEAR FUEL BACK-UP TO BUILD & OPERATE THE NUCLEAR ENERGY PLANT. WE HAVE SEEN THE REACTORS PROVIDED BY THE EARLIEST U.S.S.R.REGIME HAVE NOT BEEN EFFECTIVELY GIVING THE YIELDS AS DESIRED BECAUSE OF CERTAIN PROBLEMS. THE WINDS OF GLOBALISATION ARE IRREVERSIBLE & WE CAUTIOUSLY NEED TO TAKE BENIFIT OF SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY FOR OUR OWN BENEFIT. IF CUMMINISTS ARE SO MUCH OF MURMURRING ATTITUDE ABOUT U.S.A.'S PARTICIPATION. ..WHY CAN'T THEY WIN THE MAJORITY IN INDIAN POLITICS AND GET THE HELP FROM CHINA??? DO THEY HAVE ANY GUTS TO DO SO? THEIR OWN STABILITY IN THEIR SELF RULED STATES IS ALSO UNDER SEVERE CHECK AND IN THE MODERN AND NEW CHANGING GLOBAL SCENARIO THE CUMMINSTS WILL BE CONSIDERED AS FASCISTS FUNDAMENTALISTS HAVING NO OR VERY LESS MASS SUPPORT IN INDIA AND AROUND THE WORLD. EVEN STATE LIKE CHINA HAS LEARNT SHOWN FLEXIBILITY IN HANDLING THE GLOBAL OR HOME COMPULSIONS WHICH COMMUNISTS WILL NEVER LEARN. THEY ARE THE MERE OPPOSING LOTS EVEN TO HINDU ETHOS AND NORMS ALSO. GOD ONLY SAVES THEM IN CHANGED WORLD....
REGARDS,
D.SUHASCHANDRA:rolleyes:
purushottam 21st August 2008, 10:35 AM :rolleyes:As the Indo-US nuclear deal goes through the motions, India asked to sign the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) by the UN organization overseeing this non-proliferation measure.
India has ruled out signing CTBT under any circumstances rejecting constant appeals and has not succumbed to any pressure. Japan had early this month urged India to sign the CTBT and the nuclear non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) New Delhi has maintained that it is not a signatory to NPT or CTBT as it has fulfilled all major conditionality required for non-proliferation and has an impeccable record in this record.
Pakistan has said it will not sign the CTBT unless India does so
Now the Manmohansingh government will come in trouble. Beggars are not choosers. Rahul Gandhi was showing dreams in Parliament that we will get nuclear energy and the nation will be eliminated by such energy! Befooling public is sole aim of Congress. When we do not have any infra structure, budgt and any plan for installation of project is it proper to dream in such foolish manner. How costly the energy would be is not yet estimated. Thereafter the electricity will be given free of cost to so called pooers, agriculturists and the financial burden will have to be shared by commoners. Most of the business class and industrialists are great thieves and they will extract it illegally.
KevatShah 22nd August 2008, 01:05 AM I have been trying to keep with the N-deal, but I do not know the details. Can someone please fill me in on what exactly this deal is? I would really appreciate it
- Kevat Shah
purushottam 22nd August 2008, 10:32 AM :rolleyes:Dear friend you just click Nuclear deal on google site and you will find each and every detail about it .Do visit that site.
purushottam 22nd August 2008, 08:56 PM :rolleyes:Things are not as they seem. To day during meting for agreement with India it was proposed by America that it will redraft the agreement as many countries to treaty are not in agreement. We have to wait till 3rd september for further progress. It means the terms and conditions are debatable. Now Congress has to explain its position what dispute was raised and how India will meet with the problem.
purushottam 23rd August 2008, 06:00 PM :rolleyes:The 45-nation meeting on the question as to whether to lift a ban on nuclear trade with India ended without any final decision. The Nuclear Suppliers Groups [NSG] will again meet in the next month after re casting the agreement The proposal for amendment is as under: -
Diplomats said conditions tabled at the NSG included intrusive U.N. inspections of Indian civilian nuclear sites; cancellation of any waiver if India tests bombs again; and periodic reviews of Indian compliance with the exemption. Thus what BJP and Communists were saying has gained ground. Advani has rightly claimed that the terms of the draft should exclude the 123 term of Hyde Act there should be no control on testing of Nuclear Bombs.
purushottam 25th August 2008, 10:19 AM :rolleyes:On 3rd and 4th September 2008 the 45 nations of Nuclear deal contractors will meet to consider for new draft on N-Deal with India .The B-4 counties will write draft and ask India to sign it for which Pranab Mukharjee has already said it will not be signed. There after there will be no deal. The Congress will blame the opposite parties for such delay in deal, as after September America will not meet in senate for any discussions till elections are not over. By that time Indian Parliament may also be dissolved and in fresh elections the only agenda for Congress would be N-Deal issue blaming BJP and Communists for failure. The real issue would be lag behind that the provisions of Hyde Act should not be incorporated and India should be free to test N-Bombs as and when it likes. The issue would be that due to BJP and Communists people of India are unable to get electric energy. What a nice politics is. The other main issue of inflation will also not impress the public. The impact of energy is on public. The Chhatisgarh Congress has announced that it will give FREE electricity to poor and rice at Rs.2 per k.g. also. whose cost it will be done? The middle class will be comfortably grinded in the process. The unfortunate part is the middle class is well-educated class with little practical aspect about politics.
purushottam 3rd September 2008, 09:12 PM :rolleyes:Here is the reality about the nuclear deal. America has disclosed a draft which is 9 months old and it is claimed it was known to India. The deal draft contains that India will never have right to test N-Bombs. It is also an exparte right to revoke the deal as and when America thinks proper. The BJP and Communists were saying this from the beginning. L.K. Advani had emphasised on these two points quite long before. No one took it seriously. The parliament ,it appears, was kept uninformed on these two points and the UPA government has mislead the public. The meeting will be held on 3rd and 4th September. The UPA cabinet has been summoned by P.M. to day at 8.30 pm to discuss. Let us see how we will deal with the 'subject' that is public and the deal too.India should give up false ego attitude. It is very common among Indians. Let government should be fair to public. It should think with reason and logic also. Let good sense prevail on the government:rolleyes:
anchor 3rd September 2008, 10:58 PM India need not care about US laws as long as NSG approves a clear deal. India then can bilaterally sign much weaker agreement with France and Russia.
These kind of stringent statement will make US loose more business.
Internally india can also create a low to not get into a business deal from a country whose laws allows for termination, if it explodes a nuclear device.
Everey country has it's own law and India can have it's own. Why are we afraid of US internal laws..which only governs doing business with US.
Let us use US to get thru NSg and then decide who all are willing to do business on Indian terms!!
purushottam 28th January 2009, 03:35 PM
Latest information is that the America wants to get reed off the Nuclear power and wants to develop Pavan Urja that is windmill power. America wants to hand over all the 40 Nuclear reactors to India as they can create disaster in America. Politicians and Indians like to lick America.
purushottam 21st February 2009, 10:31 AM :rolleyes:Dear eagle and observer,Gone through your views. All right. One may have differences but the reality is this do what ever is possible to correct the mistakes of Gandhi Nehru but remember that so long as the policy of appeasement with Pakistan will continue we cannot do any thing. America and china would not be with us and Russia has gone weak to support India. The situation is this. We should be firm on diplomatic level. Your views are commendable.
